We have been using the Phoscyon since it came out thanks to a mention in Future Music and our Tb303 being unwell. An unhealthy obsession with acid and owners of a Tb303 we are extremely fussy about our acid but the sound of the Phoscyon is amazing! Put it simply as good as the original with all this added potential to take the acid sound to uncharted places with the Phoscyon's added controls and filter.
The controls and sequencer behave just like the original plus the GUI unlike many 303 Emulators is clear and realistic and a decent size! and at a stupidly cheap price ..............what are you waiting for.
Known in the Break Beat scene as being purveyors of the Acid Sound we couldn't live without the Phoyscon its fast replaced our original and is very much part of the Robosapien's sound. We also swear by the Drumazon and Nepheton the best old school drum emulation i have come across kicks that thud snares that snap and those gorgeous electronic hats both are a permanent feature in our setup. The Devastor is also a firm fav in the studio the ability to distort or fatten the sound without losing any of the warmth. Add it to a Phoscyon to get the most incredible acid sound or simply use it to crunch up a drum loop. In fact all of the Silver range such as the Fazortan have impressed with their warm analogue sound.
Basically we have used D16 products on 14 record releases that is the real proof of the quality of D16 products. We cant recommend them enough.
